Symphony of Stones: The Garni Gorge is indeed one of the most extraordinary places in Armenia, known for its natural beauty and unique geological formations. The “basalt organ” is a natural wonder that amazes with its extraordinary symmetry and basalt columns, resembling the pipes of a musical organ, creating a fascinating landscape. This gorge was formed millions of years ago as a result of volcanic activity followed by erosion processes, making it not only a place of great beauty but also of scientific interest. Visitors can admire not only the imposing basalt columns but also the entire gorge, which offers spectacular views and unique photographic opportunities. Preparation of Lavash: Afterward, we’ll visit a local house where you’ll have the opportunity to see and participate in the preparation of Armenian Lavash bread (Lavash is a very thin Armenian bread, usually sold in very large shapes. It’s also an ancient bread baked in an underground oven, “tonir”). In 2015, Lavash was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
